BOCA RATON, FL (Boca Post) — Late Night Shooting Leaves 34 Year Old Robbery Victim With Gunshot Wound To Hand. No Life Threatening Injuries.

Update: 8:31AM

PBSO has provided some clarification on the shooting incident that occurred at Oconnor’s Pub last night. A 34 year old man was shot in the hand after chasing a person who just robbed him for his necklace. The victim chased the suspect to a vehicle where the suspect then shot him in the hand. The suspect then fled in the vehicle. The victim was later transported to Delray Medical Center.

This is an ongoing investigation and we will continue to update this article as the details become known.

Unknown B/M robbed 34 yr old V1’s necklace while standing outside of O’Conner’s Pub. V1 chased S1 into parking lot where S1 shot V1 in hand. S1 fled in vehicle. V1 transported to Hospital with non-life threating injuries to hand. The investigation is ongoing.

Original Story

Palm Beach County Fire Rescue and Palm Beach Sheriff’s Office responded to O’Connor’s pub in west Boca Raton late last night for a shooting call. Upon arrival, PBCFR staged until the all clear was provided by PBSO. Shortly after that, one male victim was reported to have non-life-threatening injuries from a gunshot wound to his left hand.

It is reported that an off-duty deputy was already on scene at the time of the medical dispatch.  It is also unclear at this time if the off-duty deputy was involved in the shooting. We are unaware of any arrests at this time. We will provide more details as follow up with PBSO later this morning.

The late night shooting call was received by Palm Beach County Fire Rescue at 1:29am. The 23 year old male victim was transported to Delray Medical Center as a trauma alert at 1:49am.

  1. just wondering why the victim wasn’t brought to West Boca medical center which is 1 mile away, and was taken to Delray medical center. that’s a story in a story.
