POMPANO BEACH, FL (Boca Post) (Copyright © 2024) — Detectives from the Traffic Homicide Unit at the Broward Sheriff’s Office are looking into an accident, in Pompano Beach that resulted in the death of a motorcyclist.

Detectives stated that at 8:32 p.m on Saturday evening of November 30th. Lezaria Williams was driving a 2020 Nissan Altima heading north near the 1300 block of South Powerline Road, in Pompano Beach while Ruben Osorio was also traveling northbound on South Powerline Road riding a 2005 Yamaha motorcycle at that time.
Detectives stated that Osorio and another motorcyclist were riding at a pace when they neared the Altima car in front of them. Osorio hit the brakes abruptly. Lost control of his motorcycle as it toppled over and skidded across the road. The motorcycle collided with the back of the Altima vehicle. Osorio ended up stopping in the left turn lane while Williams stayed at the scene and assisted with the investigation.

The emergency responders, from Pompano Beach Fire Rescue. Took Osorio to Broward Health North, where he was later declared deceased.

The inquiry into the accident is still, in progress.
