81 Year Old Kings Point Resident Killed In Crash.

DELRAY BEACH, FL (Boca Post) — A driver pulled out of Kings Point on to Linton Blvd in the path of another vehicle causing a collision that ended fatal for the 81 year old Kings Point resident.

At approximately 06:48 am on 1/3/22, Alan Waly, 81, of Kings Point, pulled out of Kings Point on Flanders Way and made a right turn on to Linton Blvd. Coneesha Richards, 32, of Bakersfield California, was traveling westbound on Linton Blvd at the same time. As Waly turned his Kia Forte on to Linton Blvd he was struck by Richards in her 2021 Jeep Compass.

The impact of accident the caused Richards’ jeep to spin on to the median where it struck a tree and bounced back in to the westbound lane. Waly’s vehicle continued about a 1/4 mile from the collision site near the intersection of American Heritage School Delray.

According to a PBSO report, Waly was not wearing his seat belt when the accident occurred. Richards and her passenger were both reportedly wearing their seatbelts.

Waly was pronounced deceased at the scene. Richards and her passenger sustained only minor injuries and were transported to Delray Medical Center.

Narrative from PBSO:

V2 was heading westbound on Linton Blvd approaching Flanders Way within the right lane. V1 was leaving Kings Pointe on Flanders Way, and was making a right turn onto Linton Blvd. As V1 turned, it violated V2’s right of way causing both vehicles to collide. After colliding, V2 continued west as it was rotating, and struck a tree backwards in the center median. After V2 struck the tree, it redirected back onto the westbound lane facing west. After collision, V1 continued westbound and drove appx. 1/4 mile where it crossed over Linton Blvd into the intersection of American Heritage School. D1 was pronounced deceased on scene. D2 and its passenger sustained minor injuries and were transported to Delray Medical Center.
