Sowmya Gudla, 25, Passed Away

BOCA RATON, FL (Boca Post) (Copyright © 2024) — 25-year-old Sowmya Gudla of Boca Raton died after being struck by a car on Military Trail.

The Traffic Homicide Unit of the Boca Raton Police Service Department is currently looking into a tragic incident involving a pedestrian along the 6500 block of North Military Trail that took place on May 26, 2024, around 9:30 p.m.

That is when, Police say, Sowmya Gudla, 25, was hit by a southbound 2023 Volkswagen while crossing the road in the middle of the block. Gudla was rushed to a nearby hospital in critical condition but unfortunately passed away later.

Police identified the driver as 56-year-old Alexander Kargin Utkin.
