20-Year-Old Dies In Pompano Beach Crash

POMPANO BEACH, FL (Boca Post) (Copyright © 2023) — Fatal crash in Pompano Beach: Anthony D. Charles dies as his Lexus overturns. BSO investigates, passengers injured but stable.

A tragic incident occurred early in the morning when a man lost his life in a single vehicle crash. The Broward Sheriff’s Office Traffic Homicide Unit is currently investigating the circumstances surrounding this fatal collision.

The crash took place shortly before 2 a.m. On Tuesday, November 21st, close to the 3200 block of West Atlantic Boulevard in Pompano Beach. According to initial findings by investigators, Anthony D. Charles was driving eastbound in a red 2016 Lexus ES350 along with two passengers. At some point during their journey, the Lexus veered off the road and onto a curb, then onto a sidewalk before colliding with an aluminum pedestrian handrail and overturning.

Officers from BSO and Pompano Beach Fire Rescue promptly responded to the scene. Sadly, Charles, who was driving, was pronounced dead at the site of the accident. Paramedics transported Allen Hunt and Solomon Loud III, the passengers involved, to a nearby hospital for medical attention. Fortunately, their injuries were determined to be non life threatening.

The investigation into this incident is still ongoing.
