Pool Cleaning Truck Crash Required Multi-Agency Hazmat Response
Chemicals Combined During Crash Created Vapor Cloud.
DELRAY BEACH, FL – Boca Post (BocaPost.com) — A small pickup truck used by a local pool cleaning service was involved in a minor accident that required a hazmat response when the pool chemicals created a vapor cloud when they combined.
Delray Beach Fire Rescue worked with technicians from Boca Raton Fire Rescue as part of the regional Hazardous Materials Team.
When the small pickup truck collided with another vehicle near Lake Ida road and Barwick road this morning at 7:30 AM, chemicals in the truck’s bed mixed, causing a hazardous condition.
Delray Beach Fire Rescue tells Boca Post that a small vapor cloud formed when the chemicals mixed at the scene.
DBFR reports no injuries as a result of the accident.
It’s unclear if this was a Boca Raton pool cleaning company or a company from neighboring Delray Beach.
