DEERFIELD BEACH, FL (Boca Post) (Copyright © 2023) — A motorcyclist was struck by a Boynton Beach man who lost control of his truck early on Tuesday morning.

According to the Broward Sheriff’s Office, detectives with the Traffic Homicide Unit are investigating a crash that left a man dead Tuesday morning in Deerfield Beach.

The preliminary investigation revealed that Roscoe Shannon was traveling northbound on North Powerline Road in a 2019 Chevrolet Colorado truck when he failed to maintain control of the vehicle.

Meanwhile, the driver of a 2012 Suzuki motorcycle was traveling southbound on North Powerline Road. The Chevrolet departed the northbound lanes, entered the southbound lanes, and struck the motorcycle.

The motorcyclist was pronounced deceased on the scene by Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue.

The investigation continues.
