Jaquan Brown, 24, Arrested For Shooting Death Of 35-Year-Old Donelle Hunter

POMPANO BEACH, FL (Boca Post) (Copyright © 2023) — 24-year-old Jaquan Brown has been charged with murder for the shooting death of a Pompano Beach man in July.

The detectives from the Violence Intervention Proactive Enforcement Response (V.I.P.E.R.) unit of the Broward Sheriff’s Office apprehended Jaquan Brown on Monday afternoon as a suspect in the murder of Donelle Hunter. The shooting, as reported by Boca Post,  took place in Pompano Beach back in July

According to investigators from the BSO Homicide Unit, a call was received by Broward County Regional Communications around 6;20 p.m. On Saturday, July 1st, reporting a shooting incident near Northwest 17th Terrace and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard in Pompano Beach. Deputies from BSO and Pompano Beach Fire Rescue promptly responded to the scene where they found Hunter with a gunshot wound. He was immediately transported to Broward Health North where he was later pronounced dead.

On Friday, October 13th, detectives obtained an arrest warrant for Brown on charges of first degree murder. Following his apprehension on Monday for murder and violation of probation, Brown was taken to the Broward Main Jail.
