WEST PALM BEACH, FL – Boca Post (BocaPost.com) — A Broward County woman is facing attempted murder and firearms charges, according to jail records released to Boca Post by the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office.

Quintavia Parrish, 24, who was staying at the Knights Inn Hallandale, located in Hallandale Beach, has been arrested Friday evening by the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office.

According to an arrest affidavit submitted by the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office, Parrish is accused of firing at least 6 rounds at 33-year-old Eric Walker. Walker, who survived the shooting, was transported to Delray Medical Center in serious condition after being shot in the leg. The shooting happened at approximately 2:20 AM in front of the Blue Boar Tavern in West Palm Beach.

Shortly after the shooting, Parrish, an exotic dancer, fled the scene. Deputies found Parrish at a nearby business speaking to a driver who said she was trying to get a ride away from the area. When deputies ordered Parrish to the ground, she was seen putting her hand in a purse. An approaching deputy kicked the purse away from Parrish when they observed a handgun slide out of it.

According to witnesses, the shooting happened after Eric and Quntavia were in a argument with eachother. A witness said she observed Eric smack Quintavia several times during the argument. After

Parrish was taken into custody without further incident. Parrish was booked into the Palm Beach County Jail at 3:21 on Saturday morning. With a bail set at $32,500, Parrish is currently in PBSO custody being held for the following charges:

  • 782.04(1A1) ATTEMPTED FIRST DEGREE MURDER WITH A FIREARM
  • 790.15(1) DISCHARGE FIREARM IN PUBLIC
  • 790.01(2) CARRYING A CONCEALED FIREARM
