VEHICLE LOCATED: Hit-And-Run Crash Leaves One Dead In Suburban West Palm Beach

The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office has confirmed with Boca Post that deputies located the vehicle on Holiday Dr. in the Holiday Ranch mobile home community of West Palm Beach not far from where the hit-and-run occurred.
Search warrants were obtained and the vehicle was taken to the sheriff’s office a secured lot.

WEST PALM BEACH, FL – Boca Post (BocaPost.com) — A Lake Worth man was killed after being struck by a vehicle on Military Trail near Belvedere Road early on Sunday morning.
The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office tells Boca Post that at about 4:38 AM on Sunday, October 23rd, 2022, deputies responded to the 1200 block of Military Trail in West Palm Beach in reference to a vehicle versus pedestrian accident.
Responding PBSO district deputies and Palm Beach County Fire Rescue located a pedestrian, identified as Jose Luis Yanez Gomez, of Lake Worth, deceased at the scene.
PBSO tells us that an unknown vehicle was traveling southbound in the number two lane of S. Military Trail. At the same time, Gomez was crossing S. Military Trail., mid-block, from east to west. The vehicle then collided with Gomez projecting him to the ground.
A witness stated that the vehicle stopped momentarily, and then fled the scene southbound.
Gomez was pronounced deceased on the scene.
Investigators tell Boca Post that the suspect vehicle is a light colored coupe with extensive front end and windshield damage.
