Man Struck By Vehicle, Killed In West Palm Beach

David Campbell Passed Away

WEST PALM BEACH, FL (Boca Post) (Copyright © 2023) — 52-year-old David Campbell passed away after he was struck by a vehicle in suburban West Palm Beach early on Tuesday, August 29th, 2023.

According to the Palm Beach Sheriff’s Office, Henry Grimes was heading north on Congress Avenue, north of Gun Club Road in the northbound lane. At the same time, David Campbell was crossing eastward across Congress Avenue, north of Gun Club Road.

Unfortunately, David Campbell entered the path of Grimes’ Mazda CX30, resulting in a collision between the front of the vehicle and the right side of Campbell. The impact caused Campbell to be thrown off the passenger side of Grimes’ vehicle and onto the roadway.

Eventually, Grimes came to a controlled stop in the northbound lane of Congress Avenue while Campbell ended up south of the vehicle. Grimes did not sustain any injuries. However, due to injuries suffered during the collision Campbell  was promptly transported to St Marys Medical Center for attention.

Tragically, Campbell passed away on September 10th, 2023.
