Fire Grassy Waters Preserve Burning In West Palm Beach
WEST PALM BEACH, FL – Boca Post (BocaPost.com) — Residents report heavy smoke near the Grassy Water Preserve in rural West Palm Beach near Palm Beach Gardens as a 25-acre fire is burning uncontrolled.
Palm Beach County Fire Rescue, West Palm Beach Fire Rescue, and the Florida Forest Service are working to contain a brush fire near Northlake Boulevard.
Residents and drivers are seeing heavy smoke in the area just west of Beeline Highway.
The highways have remained open at this time.
The Grassy Waters Preserve is a large property owned by The City Of West Palm Beach that is used as a water catchment area and the primary source of the city’s drinking water.
