Update: Lake Worth Beach Teen Charged With Murder For Stabbing 19-Year-Old To Death

UPDATE

PBSO has made an arrest in the stabbing death of a 19-year-old man who was stabbed during a fight in Lake Worth Beach on June 18th, 2022.

According to an arrest affidavit submitted by the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office, witnesses identified the suspect, who attended a party with the victim. Witnesses described the suspect as wearing a red hat, white shirt, and black pants. While the victim was attempting to break up a fight, he was battered by another male, and the victim tried to defend himself but could not.

The suspect produced a knife and stabbed the victim in the chest. The victim fell to the ground and was beaten further by the suspect and the suspect’s parents.

On Tuesday, June 21, 2022, the victim’s family notified PBSO that the suspect and his family attempted to flee the area. Deputies were dispatched to contact the family; however, before their arrival, the family began traveling north on Interstate 95. Law enforcement agencies along northbound Interstate 95 began looking for the family. They were receiving updates from the victim’s family, who was following the vehicle transporting the suspect and his family.

The Brevard County Sheriff’s Office stopped the vehicle and identified the suspect and his family. Detectives responded to Brevard County Sheriff’s Office and obtained a search warrant to obtain DNA, fingerprints, and a photo of the suspect.

Boca Post has learned that a 14-year-old has been arrested and charged with 2nd-degree murder.
