DELRAY BEACH, FL (Boca Post) (Copyright © 2023) — Delray Beach is excited to welcome Coco Gauff, a tennis sensation and local hero, as the Grand Marshal for the upcoming Delray Beach Holiday Parade.

“We are thrilled to have Coco Gauff, a true Delray Beach success story, lead the Delray Beach Holiday Parade this year,” Mayor Shelly Petrolia said. “Coco has captured the hearts of tennis enthusiasts worldwide with her remarkable talent, determination, and sportsmanship, and we here at home could not be happier, or prouder.”

The Delray Beach Holiday Parade is a beloved tradition that brings the community together for a festive celebration filled with lively floats, marching bands and holiday spirit. Having Coco Gauff as the Grand Marshal adds a special touch to the event, allowing both residents and visitors to see their hometown hero in a new and exciting way.

Mark your calendars for December 9, 2023 at 6 PM when the Delray Beach Holiday Parade featuring Coco Gauff will take place along Atlantic Avenue in Downtown Delray Beach from the Intracoastal Bridge to NW 5th Avenue.

The city invites everyone in our community to join us in celebrating the holiday season, showing their support for Coco Gauff and experiencing an incredible holiday parade that will undoubtedly be one of this year’s highlights.

The parade will showcase over 70 floats, marching bands, dance teams and walking groups as they make their way along Atlantic Avenue in Downtown Delray Beach towards NW 5th Avenue. Awards will be presented for various categories including Best Non Profit Organization Floats, Best Dance/Cheer Group Performance, Best Business/Commercial Representation Floats and Best Marching Band.

Thanks to a unique bond with the North Pole, the Delray Beach Fire Department has arranged for Santa Claus to accompany them on their fire truck.
