The Boca Raton Police Department tells Boca Post that they have arrested the suspect responsible for a robbery of two victims in front of their home on Banyan Road after they returned from The Hard Rock Casino early in the morning on July 25th, 2022.
On August 31, 2022, Kwame Moorer was arrested in Miami-Dade County on a warrant obtained by Boca Raton Police Detective Scott Hanley for Robbery with a Firearm and Aggravated Assault with a Firearm.
Surveillance video and other investigative tools determined Moorer followed the victim’s home from the Hard Rock Casino on July 25, 2022, before robbing them at gunpoint and then firing one round in their direction as he fled the area.

BOCA RATON, FL – Boca Post (BocaPost.com) — The Boca Raton Police Department tells Boca Post that two victims were robbed in front of their home on Banyan Road early this morning upon returning home from The Hard Rock Casino.
A news alert was released by the Boca Raton Police Department on Monday afternoon:
Boca Raton police detectives are investigating an armed robbery that occurred early Sunday morning. The two victims arrived home on Banyan Road at 4:28 am after spending the night at the Hard Rock Casino. Both victims stated that when they parked and got out of the car, they were approached by the suspect, who pointed a gun at them and demanded their belongings. Both victims complied and gave the suspect their wallets, phones, and cash.
Both stated the suspect began to flee and before jumping over a cement wall turned and fired one shot in their direction.
The suspect then got into a dark SUV parked on Banyan Road and fled north. Neither victim was injured. The suspect is described as a black male, 5’8”-5’10”, in dark pants, long sleeve hoodie, and a black mask.

It has not been confirmed whether or not Police believe that the two victims were followed home from the casino. There have been no arrests of any suspects at this time.
