UPDATE

Boca Post has learned that the cows are actually therapy cows for an organization known as Kindness Shared Happiness Squared.

A spokesperson with the organization tells Boca Post that the cows were only days old when rescued by Mr. Altieri.

Mr. Altieri shows his appreciation for the District 7 deputies by providing them with a catered lunch.

BOCA RATON, FL – Boca Post (BocaPost.com) — A couple of cows were seen walking on the side of Palmetto Park Road near US-441 in West Boca Raton on Monday morning.

Maybe the cows were looking for a place to celebrate the fourth of July holiday. In any event, Palm Beach Sheriff’s deputies responded to provide public safety for the cattle.

It is unclear how the cows got out or how long they roamed the area before being returned to their owner. With so many people violating the fireworks laws this time of the year, it is possible that they were spooked by the loud noises and fled.
