BOCA RATON, FL (Boca Post) (Copyright © 2023) — Many in West Boca smelled smoke due to a large structure fire at Boca Rio Golf Club overnight and early Sunday morning.
The Palm Beach County Fire Rescue responded to a challenging fire incident at a maintenance shed near Boca Rio Road. The fire broke out yesterday evening and affected numerous golf carts stored inside the building. Unfortunately, due to the intense flames and unsafe structural conditions, the firefighters were unable to enter the premises. They are currently utilizing elevated streams of water to completely extinguish the fire. Our dedicated team of fire investigators has already assessed the scene and determined that the fire was accidental in nature. Thankfully, there were no reported injuries. Smoke is expected to dissipate throughout the morning.
