Standoff Ends – Man Arrested In Miami After Delray Beach Bank Robbery
Delray Beach, FL – Boca Post (BocaPost.com) — Police arrest man in Miami for bank robbery that occurred in Delray Beach today.
At approximately 10:30am this morning, a man with a machete walked in to the TD Bank at 969 SE 5th Ave and demanded money from the employees. The man then fled in a dark colored SUV.
Delray Beach Police Department was able to follow the man northbound on I95 but lost him near Boynton Beach. The South Florida Task Force was able to track the vehicle and requested assistance from Broward Sheriff’s Office who then followed the vehicle to the 3400 block of NW 191st Street in Miami Gardens.
The suspect was observed then throwing money out of the window of the dark colored SUV while in a stand off with police. The man eventually surrendered to police and was taken in to custody without further incident.

The BSO Public Information Office is currently working a developing incident regarding a arrest of suspect located at: 3490 N.W. 191st Street, Miami Gardens.
At approximately 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 1, the Broward Sheriff’s Office Burglary Apprehension Team received a request from the South Florida Task Force in Palm Beach County to track a vehicle suspected of being involved in a bank robbery in Delray Beach. The vehicle was believed to be traveling through Broward County. B.A.T. detectives and BSO’s Aviation Unit located the vehicle and pursued it into Miami Gardens where they were able stop the vehicle at 3490 N.W. 191st Street. A brief standoff ensued.
