POMPANO BEACH, FL (Boca Post) (Copyright © 2023) — A 29-year-old woman was struck, and killed by a Brightline train in Pompano Beach on Friday morning.

Witnesses say that they observed 29-year-old Dyanna Fernandez looking at her phone as she crossed the tracks early on Friday morning, just before being hit by an oncoming Brightline train. According to witnesses, she walked around the guide’s arms seconds before being hit.

BSO responded o the scene near NE 6th Street and North Dixie Highway where they declared Fernandez deceased at the scene.
