Man Shoots At Deputies, Arrested In Pompano Beach
Justin Crawford Arrested In Pompano Beach For Attempted Murder.
POMPANO BEACH, FL – Boca Post (BocaPost.com) — BSO tells Boca Post that deputies responded to a “suspicious person” call and were shot at by the suspect, later identified as 34-year-old Justin Crawford, who they arrested without returning fire.
Deputies responded to the Circle K at 1 North Federal Highway in Pompano Beach in response to what is being called a “suspicious person” call late Thursday night. When deputies arrived, they were shot at by Crawford. A BSO spokesperson says that deputies were able to arrest Crawford without shooting back at him.
34-year-old Justin Crawford is now in BSO custody facing several charges including:
- 4 counts of attempted murder
- 1 count of possession of weapon/ammo by a felon

At approximately 10:06 p.m., Thursday, April 14, Broward Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a suspicious person call near the area of 1 North Federal Highway in Pompano Beach. When deputies arrived on scene, an unknown subject armed with a weapon opened fire on the responding units. According to investigators, deputies did not return fire and the shooter was taken into custody without incident. No deputies were injured during the incident. The subject was transported to an area hospital for treatment unrelated to the shooting. The investigation continues.
