POMPANO BEACH, FL – Boca Post (BocaPost.com) — BSO is investigating the details around a deadly crash in Pompano Beach that left one woman dead and injured another.

According to the Broward Sheriff’s Office, a female passenger was pronounced deceased five days after being involved in a crash in Pompano Beach, and detectives with the Broward Sheriff’s Office Traffic Homicide Unit are investigating the circumstances surrounding the fatal incident.

At approximately 12:36 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 19, Broward County Regional Communications received a crash with injuries call near the 1100 block of West Copans Road in Pompano Beach. BSO deputies and Pompano Beach Fire Rescue responded to investigate.

The preliminary investigation revealed Erica Hilaire and a female passenger were traveling westbound in a 2012 Hyundai Santa Fe on Copans Road.
