Two Arrested In Pembroke Park Shooting
Samuel Johnson And Isreal Griffin Charged With Robbery, Murder, More
PEMBROKE PARK, FL – Boca Post (BocaPost.com) — BSO arrested two men in connection with a Pembroke Park murder that occurred on January 9th, 2023.
According to the Broward Sheriff’s Office, a man was shot and killed in Pembroke Park on Monday evening, and Broward Sheriff’s Office Homicide Unit detectives have arrested two men for the crime.
At approximately 7:15 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 9, Broward Regional Communications received reports of a shooting in the area of 5500 Southwest 41st Street in Pembroke Park. Pembroke Park Police Department officers responded to the scene and discovered three individuals suffering from gunshot wounds. Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue responded and pronounced an adult male deceased on the scene and transported the two surviving individuals to Memorial Regional for treatment.
Pembroke Park Police requested assistance from BSO Homicide and Crime Scene units. BSO is the lead investigating agency regarding this incident. The preliminary investigation reveals that Samuel Johnson and Israel Griffin robbed the victim at gunpoint. At some point, gunfire was exchanged. The victim was struck and died on the scene. Johnson and Griffin were both struck and suffered injuries not expected to be life-threatening.
BSO detectives arrested Johnson and Griffin on charges of murder, robbery with a firearm and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
