OAKLAND PARK, FL – Boca Post (BocaPost.com) — Broward Sheriff’s Office tells Boca Post that a pedestrian has been killed by a Tri-Rail train in Oakland Park on Wednesday morning.

Just before 10:15 a.m. on Wednesday, May 25, Broward Regional Communications received a call regarding a crash involving a Tri-Rail train and a pedestrian on the CSX railroad tracks at Commercial Boulevard in Oakland Park. Broward Sheriff’s Office deputies and Oakland Park Fire Rescue responded to the scene. The pedestrian was pronounced deceased on the scene. BSO’s Homicide Unit detectives and Crime Scene Unit investigators are investigating the circumstances of the crash.
This accident marks the second fatal train crash today in Broward County. Boca Post earlier reported that a pedestrian was killed by a train in Pompano Beach
