OAKLAND PARK, FL – Boca Post (BocaPost.com) — Broward Sheriff’s Office is in full force at a local business in Oakland Park in response to a bomb threat.
While it is not immediately clear which business received the bomb threat or how the threat was called in, Boca Post was only told that BSO responded to the 4900 block of North Dixie Highway in Oakland Park.

At approximately 11:10 a.m., Broward Sheriff’s Office Oakland Park district deputies responded to a bomb threat incident at a business near the 4900 block of North Dixie Highway in Oakland Park. BSO bomb squad unit was notified and are on scene investigating this active incident. The business has been evacuated at this time. The traffic lanes on Northeast 11th Avenue between Prospect Road and Commercial Boulevard are shut down until further notice. Motorists are asked to seek alternate routes. The investigation continues.
