NORTH LAUDERDALE, FL – Boca Post (BocaPost.com) — Broward Sheriff’s Office tells Boca Post that a 58-year-old woman from Margate is now dead after being been hit by an SUV in North Lauderdale.

Broward Sheriff’s Office Traffic Homicide Unit detectives are investigating a crash that killed a 58-year-old Margate woman.
At approximately 8:54 p.m., Tuesday, May 24, a vehicle versus pedestrian crash occurred at the intersection of Rock Island Road and Forrest Boulevard. The preliminary investigation revealed that Rosita Creary was traveling northbound on Rock Island Road in a 2020 Toyota Rav4 SUV. The vehicle was in the inside-thru lane passing through the intersection at Forrest Boulevard. According to detectives, both north and southbound traffic had the green light. The pedestrian, Hossein Levene, entered the roadway, crossing Rock Island Road from east to west, and was struck by the vehicle.
Levene was transported to Broward Health North where she was pronounced deceased.
Detectives say that neither excessive speed nor impairment is considered to be contributing to this crash.
