LAUDERDALE LAKES, FL (Boca Post) (Copyright © 2023) — Two people were transported to a local hospital after being shot in Lauderdale Lakes on Saturday evening.

According to the Broward Sheriff’s Office, at around 8:45 p.m. on Saturday, May 20, Broward County Regional Communications received reports of a shooting in the area of the 4300 block of Northwest 36th Street in Lauderdale Lakes.

Broward Sheriff’s Office deputies responded and located two shooting victims. Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue also responded and transported the victims to area hospitals. Their injuries are not expected to be life-threatening.

At this time, BSO’s Violent Crimes and Crime Scene units are investigating the circumstances of the incident.
