FORT LAUDERDALE, FL – Boca Post (BocaPost.com) — A 68-year-old man was robbed at an ATM in Fort Lauderdale by a Hispanic couple and their dog.

The Fort Lauderdale Police Department is investigating an attempted robbery that occurred
on Wednesday, March 2, 2022, at approximately 4:07 p.m. The incident occurred at 888
Northwest 62nd Street in the city of Fort Lauderdale.

Officers responded to the area after receiving reports of a battery. Upon arrival on scene,
officers located the 68-year-old male victim. The victim advised them that he was attacked
by an unknown male suspect and his dog as he was attempting to remove cash from the
ATM.

Preliminary investigation has revealed that the suspect aggressively approached the victim
at the ATM with his dog and punched him in the face, causing the victim to fall to the
ground. Once on the ground, the suspect ordered his dog to attack the victim, punched him
approximately 13 more times, and kicked him. The victim suffered a fractured orbital socket
and lacerations to his leg. Video surveillance collected from the scene shows the suspect
leaving with an unknown female accomplice in a what detectives believe to be a white
Hyundai Elantra.

The male suspect is a Hispanic male between 20 to 30 years old, with a thin build, brown
hair, and brown eyes. He is seen in the video wearing no shirt and black pants. The female
suspect is a Hispanic female with a medium build, and dark hair. She is seen in the video
wearing a black shirt, black pants, and white sneakers.
