FORT LAUDERDALE, FL – Boca Post (BocaPost.com) — Fort Lauderdale Fire Department had to battle a fire in a 3 story home on the Intracoastal waterway in Fort Lauderdale.

The home located on the Intracoastal waterway at 1817 SE 7th Street in Fort Lauderdale was saved by Fort Lauderdale Fire Rescue as they battled a fire in the 8000 sq ft mansion.

Crews responded to a fire on the 3rd floor of the 3 story home which they later upgraded to what they call a 2nd alarm fire.

The 7 bedroom, 8 bathroom home was sold in 2000 for $3.6M, is estimated to be worth $8M today.
