Detectives from the Broward Sheriff’s Office Traffic Homicide Unit are currently looking into a collision, between a vehicle and a motorcycle that took place in Tamarac city last Tuesday. October 29th.
During their inquiry it was discovered that around 3 p.m. Maximiliano R.Modesti was riding a 2007 Yamaha R1 bike heading south on Nob Hill Road and nearing Northwest 67th Street. It was at this point that Sonia S.Dilisio, who was driving a 2020 Honda Civic east on Northwest 67th Street tried making a turn towards north on Nob Hill Road and ended up crossing paths, with Modestis motorcycle.
BSOs officers and Tamarac Fire Rescue were. Arrived at the scene promptly to assist with the situation involving Modesti and Dilisio in need of medical attention. Modesti was taken to Broward Health Medical Center where unfortunately he passed away after being evaluated by paramedics. Dilisio was also transported to a hospital, for evaluation but was later discharged from medical care.
Investigators suggest that Modestis excessive speed might have played a role in the crash based on evidence and details, from a witness not associated with the incident. The investigation is ongoing.
