1 Dead, 1 Injured In Fort Lauderdale Shooting

Marcel Noel Passed Away

FORT LAUDERDALE, FL (Boca Post) (Copyright © 2024) — Fort Lauderdale Police arrested 36-year-old Jorge Varona Suarez for the murder of 30-year-old Marcel Noel.

On Wednesday, January 31st, 2024, FLPD responded to a shooting incident in the 800 block of NE 62 St. Officers found two potential victims and notified Fort Lauderdale Fire Rescue who took the victims to local hospitals.

Around 7;10am, FLPD received several calls reporting a shooting in the 800 block of NE 62 Street. Upon arrival, officers discovered two adult male victims who had sustained gunshot wounds. Both victims were immediately taken by FLFR to North Broward Hospital with severe injuries that are life threatening.

The suspect involved in this shooting has since been identified as Jorge Varona Suarez, a Hispanic male with a date of birth on November 21st, 1987 (11/21/1987). FLPD’s Fugitive Unit successfully apprehended Suarez, who is now facing one count of attempted murder charges. One victim is still hospitalized in critical condition while the other injured person has been released and does not wish to pursue legal action.

Regrettably, Marcel Noel passed away at the hospital on Friday, February 2nd.  The charges against Jorge Varona Suarez has since been elevated to first degree murder.

You live by the sword you die by it I am his widow of 7 years and him and his family only seeked a green card he even wrote a song about it and till this day I never said anything even being his sponsor for his green card even though him and his family forged documents I thought I was a 25 year old marrying a 23 year old least to say whole time he wasn’t even 20 years old… At me being 25 , him and his family is nothing but cowards that’s try to finesse and cheat the system I know because I am a victim of “the noel family”
