Woman Arrested For Punching Security Guard At Boca Regional Hospital, Says She Just Wanted A Smoke

BOCA RATON, FL – Boca Post (BocaPost.com) — Morgan Hickman of West Palm Beach has been arrested and charged with two felony counts of Battery on a licensed security guard, according to jail records released to Boca Post by the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office.
Morgan Hickman, 23, of the 13000 block of N 6nd Court in West Palm Beach, has been arrested Tuesday morning by the Boca Raton Police Department.
According to the arrest affidavit submitted by the Boca Raton Police Department, Hickman left the front doors of Boca Regional Hospital when the nursing staff asked security to ask her to return.
Hospital security than found Hickman near the front of the building asking a construction worker for a cigarette. The security guard then asked Hickman to come back into the hospital, stating that the nursing staff was ready for her, she screamed she wasn’t moving until she got a cigarette.
According to the security guard, Hickman was standing shoulder to shoulder at this point and out of nowhere Morgan threw a punch at him and struck him in the left shoulder. The security guard stated Morgan and him went to the ground, and he gained control of her arms and brought her back to her feet.
The security guard stated he walked Morgan back to the ER entrance. The security guard stated Morgan continually tried to leave and eventually became agitated when seeing Boca Raton Police she threw her phone at another BRRH uniformed security officer’s side of his lip.
It should be noted both security officers were in had “Allied Universal” security patches on them.
When responding officers spoke to Hickman, she said “I hit him in the face I’m not
gonna lie. I hit him in the face, I punched him.” Further, Hickman told police that she hit the guard because he was not listening to her.
Hickman was booked into the Palm Beach County Jail at 10:48 on Tuesday morning.
