Hassan Abla Of West Boca Raton Arrested For Illegally Carrying Concealed Firearms

BOCA RATON, FL – Boca Post (BocaPost.com) — A Boca Raton man has been arrested for carrying a concealed firearm, according to jail records released to Boca Post by the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office.

Hassan Abla, 20, of the 9000 block of Colorado Ct in West Boca Raton, has been arrested early Wednesday morning by the Palm Beach Sheriff’s Office. Boca Post has been notified that the charge filed is “CARRYING CONCEALED WEAPON – UNLICENSED FIREARM”.

It is worth noting that Hassan Abla is 20 years old. The minimum age a person a be in Florida to legally conceal a firearm with a CCW is 21 years old.

According to the narrative from the official arrest report submitted by Palm Beach Sheriff’s Office, a PBSO patrol deputy observed a white BMW M3 with a dark tint and a tint covering the plate driving near US-441 and Glades Road in West Boca Raton. The deputy pulled the vehicle over because he confirmed the plate was expired.

The deputy reports that when he approached the vehicle he could smell the presence of Marijuana. Abla spontaneously uttered that he had two firearms in the vehicle – one by his leg and one in the glove box.

Hassan was asked to step out of the vehicle to which he complied. Hassan was detained and not free to leave. When asked if there was any marijuana in the vehicle he stated “There shouldn’t be”. When asked why the vehicle smelled of marijuana, Hassan stated he doesn’t smoke however he let a friend in West Palm Beach, Florida drive the vehicle and that he just got his vehicle back.

Based on the above investigation, a search of the vehicle was conducted. A loaded black Glock 42 .380 caliber was located in the driver-side door unsecured and readily accessible which had a round in the chamber and next to it was a large amount of US currency. The currency was counted and verified by D/S Gomez #39619 and myself. A black ski mask was located under the firearm. A second firearm, a loaded Silver and Black Glock 43 was located in the glove compartment of the vehicle. A black cylinder container was located under the front passenger seat. In the container were 2 pre-rolled marijuana cigarettes.

Deputies added that Hassan knowingly carried on or about his personal firearm. The firearm was concealed from the ordinary sight of another person. At that time, Hassan was not licensed to carry a firearm.

It should be noted, that Hassan is 20 years of age and is not legally able to obtain a Florida Concealed Weapons Permit. Hassan was placed in handcuffs which were checked for proper fit and placed into the backseat of my marked patrol vehicle. Hassan was transported to District 7 substation for processing. Hassan was later transported and turned over to the Palm Beach County Jail.

Hassan was arrested for 790.01(2) CARRYING CONCEALED FIREARM. Hassan was later issued several traffic citations as well:
