BOCA RATON, FL – Boca Post (BocaPost.com) — Saul Alexander Gordo of Hialeah has been arrested and charged with several felonies including aggravated assault with a firearm, according to jail records released to Boca Post by the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office.

Gordo, 32, of Hialeah, has been arrested by the Boca Raton Police Department. Boca Post has been notified that the charges include 4 counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and disorderly public intoxication.

Officers from the Boca Raton Police Department responded to the Original Fat Cats on Federal Highway in Boca Raton early on Monday morning in reference to an “armed person”. According to an arrest report submitted by the Boca Raton Police Department, a woman told police that Gordo was inside the bar and began whispering weird comments in her ear. The woman told the staff that Gordo was acting strange, which made her uncomfortable, and she wanted to have him removed. The staff advised the woman that they would have Gordo removed from the property.

One of the bar’s employees was asked to remove Gordo from the bar, so he then approached Gordo and escorted him outside towards the patio. That employee stated that while guiding Gordo out, he was never physical with him, but Gordo began to get aggressive on the patio and pulled out his phone. Gordo allegedly pulled out his phone, pushed it towards the employee’s head, used his phone as a firearm, and said he was going to kill him. The employee then slapped the phone out of Gordo’s hand and told him to leave the establishment.

The employee says Gordo then picked up his phone, reached into his right pocket, and pulled out a black firearm. According to witnesses, Gordo began pointing the firearm in his face and pointing it at his stomach before putting it back into his pocket.

Once Gordo placed the firearm back into his pocket, the employee struck Gordo in the face multiple times with his fist in fear that he would use the firearm on other guests. Gordo was then knocked unconscious and laid out on the floor. One of the witnesses then removed the loaded firearm from Gordo’s pocket, removed the magazine, and ejected one round of the chamber. The firearm was placed in the back room until the Police arrived.

Gordo was admitted to Boca Regional Hospital for the injuries he received after the incident. While Gordo remains at the hospital, his arrest paperwork was received by the Palm Beach County Jail at 6:20 AM on Monday morning. Gordo missed his first appearance because he was in the hospital.
