Boca Raton, FL – Boca Post (BocaPost.com) — A Boca Raton man was arrested on two counts Aggravated Assault w/ Firearm after making threats to kill multiple people, including wife, in his home on January 24th, 2022.

Carlito Milfort, 51, of General Street in the Palmetto Pines neighborhood in western Boca Raton, was arrested on two counts of Aggravated Assault w/ Firearm early on January 24th, 2022.

According to a arrest affidavit submitted by Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to Milfort’s house on General St. at approximately 2:45am on 1/24/22. As responding deputies approached the door they observed Milfort drop an object, later found to be a firearm, on the floor. Deputies spoke to Milfort who said he and his wife were in a verbal altercation when his wife’s friend, Gisele Magalhaes, got involved which made him upset and he demanded that she leave the house.

Carlito’s wife, Theresa Milfort, says that she was asleep in her room when Carlito and Gisele ran in to her room as she was followed by Carlito. Theresa reported that Carlito was intoxicated. Carlito and Gisele were arguing in Theresa’s room when Carlito then left the room and returned with a firearm. Carlito allegedly pointed the firearm at Gisele and said “I’ll kill you and everyone in this house”. Carlito then pointed the gun at the ceiling and fired a round off.

Deputies were able to see the gunshot hole in the ceiling and also discovered a spent shell casing in the bedroom. Both Gisele and Theresa told deputies they were in fear of their lives as they thought Carlito would carry out the threats.

Carlito was arrested and charged with two counts of AGGRAV ASSLT – WEAPON – W DEADLY WEAPON WITHOUT INTENT TO KILL (784.021 1A (FT)). Carlito was escorted to the PBSO jail and booked at 6:44am.

According to court records, Carlito has since been released on 1/26/22 with a $100,000 bond. Several court orders including no contact orders with the victims or witnesses, no alcohol, and no weapons have been ordered by a judge at Carlito’s first appearance.
