DEERFIELD BEACH, FL (Boca Post) — Former NFL star Terrell Owens records a video documenting a response by Broward Sheriff’s Office to his Deerfield Beach neighborhood where he calls a crying neighbor a “Karen” multiple times.

It all started on the evening of August 3rd, 2022 when Terrell’s neighbor, Caitlyn Davis, accused him of speeding in his Deerfield Beach gated community. Terrell says he hung around for the Police once Davis said she was calling 911 on him. When BSO deputies arrived, he started recording the video with his phone.

Davis told deputies that Terrell ran a stop sign, got out of his car, started harassing her, and then came after her.

“You need to stop that”, says Terrell in reference to Davis, who started crying after deputies arrived. Davis then screams at Terrell, saying “you were speeding through the neighborhood”.

A neighbor defended Terrell Owens, saying “He was not. I was in the garage. You’re lying now because I was sitting in the garage”.

One of the more telling items Davis said was “You’re a black man approaching a white woman”, she says in response to why she called 911 on him.

Whether or not Terrell Owens actually did any of the things Davis says he did is unclear at this time. Boca Post is unaware of any arrests or further action than the response seen in this video. Owens says the police were “just in their actions this time”.

Terrell Owens created a petition on change.org to have Davis arrested for making a false statement to Police. Owens says, “To call the police for basically him just being a black man in his own neighborhood is just beyond unacceptable.”

The petition can be signed at change.org
