Bryan Fonseca, 19, Passed Away

DEERFIELD BEACH, FL (Boca Post) (Copyright © 2024) —BSO wants to know why 19-year-old Bryan Fonseca of Coral Springs was shot and killed in Deerfield Beach.

The Broward Sheriff’s Office Homicide Unit is currently investigating the death of a man from Coral Springs. The incident occurred when he crashed into a tree in Deerfield Beach after being shot. To aid in their investigation, authorities are seeking assistance from the public to identify and locate the individual(s) responsible.

According to investigators, on Friday, January 12th at around 7 p.m., deputies from BSO Deerfield Beach District responded to a report of a single vehicle crash at Heritage Circle Condominiums located at 4354 N.W. Ninth Avenue. Upon arrival, deputies discovered an unresponsive adult male who was later identified as Bryan Fonseca, aged 19. It was determined that Fonseca had crashed into a tree due to sustaining gunshot wounds. He was driving a black 2018 Mercedes Benz AMG C43.

Emergency responders from Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue were called to the scene and Fonseca was subsequently transported to Broward Health North for medical treatment.

Upon learning of the incident, BSO’s Violent Crimes Unit (VCU) initiated an investigation. Unfortunately, on Friday, February 2nd, Fonseca succumbed to his injuries and the case was transferred to BSO’s Homicide Unit for further examination.
