Medical Event Suspected In North Lauderdale Fatal Crash

The authorities are looking into the case of a driver who may have had an emergency leading to a fatal crash incident that happened recently in North Lauderdale in Broward County. At 7;50 a.m. last Wednesday (Feb 5) the regional communications center received a distress call regarding an accident with injuries near Kimberly Boulevards 7100 block. Deputies from BSOs district and firefighters, from North Lauderdale responded to the scene where they found out that three vehicles were involved in the crash. The initial investigation at the scene uncovered that Robert Kirsheman was found unconscious while sitting in his Toyota Camry in the right lane of traffic before proceeding to drive south on Rock Island Road. Simultaneously another driver in a grey Chevrolet Malibu mentioned being stopped at a light at Kimberly Boulevard while traveling south on Rock Island Road. According to investigators reports a third driver, in a Hyundai Santa Fe was heading west on Kimberly Boulevard and trying to turn left onto southbound Rock Island Road. The inquiry found that the drivers side of the Camry crashed into the rear passengers side of the Chevrolet Malibu resulting in minor damage. Subsequently the Camry proceeded at a pace and collided with the front passengers side of the Hyundai Santa Fe also causing minor damage. Upon arrival of deputies Kirsheman seemed disoriented and unresponsive. Emergency responders, from North Lauderdale Fire Rescue. Took Kirsheman to Northwest Medical Center where he was later declared deceased. At moment in time and based on current investigations conducted by authorities involved in the case of Kirshemans unfortunate incident on the roadways suggest that it is likely he experienced a medical episode leading to the loss of control, over his vehicle.
