The Traffic Homicide Unit of Broward Sheriff’s Office is looking into a car crash involving two vehicles in Deerfield Beach that resulted in a mans death on Sunday night around 10;51 p.m. April 6th was when Broward County Regional Communications got a call about a collision between two cars near Southwest Street and Waterways Boulevard area Deputies from BSO and Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue arrived at the scene to provide assistance The initial investigation showed that Erick Mardirossian was driving a 2012 Volkswagen Jetta eastbound, on Southwest 10th Street. At that moment in time when it happened on Southwest 10th Streets side and the driver of a 2015 Hyundai Sonata named Anthony R Havens decided to make a left turn heading south onto Waterways Boulevard. That’s when things took a turn for the worse as the two vehicles collided right there in the intersection area. Soon after the impact occurred between the vehicles involved in the accident scenario described above. The Jetta ended up hitting a pole nearby causing quite a scene for onlookers passing by. The aftermath of this incident led to both vehicles coming to a halt along the southern grassy area of Southwest 10th Street leaving bystanders shocked and concerned about what just unfolded. Emergency medical responders swiftly rushed Mardirossian to Broward Health North where he was later declared deceased due to his injuries sustained from the crash. As authorities delve deeper into unraveling the details surrounding this event that unfolded unexpectedly on that fateful day. Investigations, into how it all transpired continue to progress and unfold as we speak.
