The Broward Sheriff’s Office Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) detectives apprehended a man from North Lauderdale for pressuring a girl to share nude photos with him in exchange, for extortion purposes. In December year ICAC was alerted about an individual who was requesting nude images from a 14 year old girl and using social media to extort her. Following the tip off detectives were able to track down Ygremerley Junior Murat as the suspect. The evidence gathered by detectives indicated that Murat initially engaged with the victims posts by offering compliments before asking for explicit images.After the victim sent the photos to Murat. Received threatening messages demanding more explicit photos from him in return, for not posting her pictures on social media. she chose to stop talking to him and informed her mother about the situation.. On Tuesday morning a search warrant was carried out at Murats place by detectives where they found videos of girls engaging in sexual activities.. Upon finding this material Murat admitted to committing the crimes according to detectives.. He got taken in for accusations of extortion. Trying to solicit a child through a computer or device. The investigation is still ongoing, with detectives worried there might be victims out there.
