Days after a hit and run collision in Central Broward took place a tragic occurrence where a man lost his life was reported and now detectives from the Broward Sheriff’s Office Traffic Homicide Unit are delving into the details of this incident. Authorities were tipped off that back on March 22nd an individual was behind the wheel of a 2013 Hyundai Sonata sedan, with a passenger seated in the front. On that day as per the detectives reportage; the driver had a minor collision, in Lauderhill and swiftly departed towards the south on Northwest 31st Avenue where another hit and run crash unfolded in unincorporated Central Broward area alongside their path of escape route intercepted towards east on Northwest Eighth Street upon hitting the 800 block of unincorporated Central Broward region after intending to make a left turn maneuver causing his Hyundai car to veer and spin counterclockwise. The Hyundai car hit the concrete curb and veered onto the sidewalk before crashing into the front yard of a house on Northwest Eighth Streets 3000 block area head on with its front end hitting the northwest corner of the building as per detectives assessing the collision details. After striking the residences corner wall with intensity from the impact with a motion before rotating counterclockwise and then rolling backward according to investigators inspect such incidents reported from, on site The Hyundai vehicle then reversed its course by moving through the lawn and sidewalk back onto Northwest 31st Avenue following this series of events that unfolded during this unexpected crash. The car finally stopped facing between the left and center lanes on Northwest 31st Avenue heading northbound after the driver abandoned the vehicle and ran away in an unknown direction on foot.The initial responders at the scene were officers from the Lauderhill Police Department who found the right front seat passenger unconscious.Firefighters, from Lauderhill Fire Rescue. Took the passenger to a nearby hospital.Unfortunately the passenger passed away two days later on Monday March 24th. The Broward County Medical Examiners Office informed detectives from the BSO Traffic Homicide Unit about the victims passing on Wednesday 26th March. Initiated an inquiry, into the incident to which excessive speed was a contributing factor according to detectives currently looking into the case.
