BOYNTON BEACH, FL (Boca Post) — Officials announced on New Years day that a new COVID-19 test site will be opening at Caloosa Park in Boynton Beach.

With cases on the rise and the exponential need for increased testing, test sites across the county have been overwhelmed. A city sponsored test site in West Palm Beach at Gaines Park was overwhelmed on Friday as it reached capacity at about 11am.

As we previously reported, local hospitals are asking the public not to visit for COVID-19 tests. They simply are not doing it.

New new test location will open on Monday and operate 7 days a week from 9am – 5pm until further notice. This new COVID-19 test location is the first government owned site in the city. Until now, all 17 of the test sites in Boynton have been operated by private companies.

The new test location is located at:

Caloosa Park
1300 SW 35th Avenue
Boynton Beach, FL
